The largest independent producer of low ash metallurgical coke in the country, Gujarat NRE Coke jumped 9.07 per cent to Rs 113.60 on the BSE after posting a 120.46 per cent surge in net profit to Rs 94.4 crore on a 150.77 per cent increase in total income to Rs 382.12 crore in Q1 June 2008 over Q1 June 2007.
